Roblox is a game within a game, inside a game in which you play and act as the creator of the game. The platform is designed to develop the player’s creativity and share exciting scenarios / games with the community.
But when it comes to customizing a character or avatar, there are some options missing. At least compared to similar games. However, there is something you can do; you can resize your avatar.
Types of avatars and scaling
You can customize your avatar in Roblox, but not all character types support this feature. For example, games that support R6 characters will block the avatar by default in width and height.
R15 characters are a separate story. If you are in the game with R15 avatars, you can change the height from 95% to 105%. The width is adjustable from 75% to 100%.
This percentage is based on and applies to the standard / standard character size.
How to access the zoom option
It’s very easy to do.
1. Lift the Roblox side panel.
2. Click the Avatar button.
3. Select the “Avatar Settings” option.
4. Find the “Zoom” section at the bottom.
5. Set the height and width sliders below 100%.
Once you change these settings, they will be used in all games that support R15. That way, you don’t have to repeat this process for each new game.
It’s so easy! Agree? As easy as listen to your favourite Roblox music ID from robloxsong.com.
How to find out if the game supports avatar scaling
Before you hope, you need to know what games you want to play and what avatars they use. To do this, you will need Roblox Studio.
1. Open the development page.
2. Select the Games menu.
3. Go to the game to open the pop-up menu.
4. Select the “Customize Game” option.
5. See the “Basic Settings” section.
A supported avatar will be in the “Avatar type settings” section. You can make changes from this menu if you want to switch from R6 to R15 or vice versa. You can also enable player selection scaling.
Advanced customization options
Roblox Studio is your indispensable tool if you want to achieve extreme scaling and modification of your avatar’s body. In the studio you will have access to four objects with numerical values that affect the size and appearance of your avatar.
Interestingly, you can create unique avatars by changing the values of NumberValue objects. The values assigned to these objects will be applied to the standard size. Therefore, they multiply the initial value.
With it you can get very small or very large avatars. It is also worth noting that the head scales evenly. While other objects give more freedom.
This is also great because it bypasses the avatar debugger settings in your games. But you may not be able to change your avatar so dramatically and enter other people’s games.
Are there any disadvantages to resizing your character?
In terms of gameplay, there may be some drawbacks. Although the smaller character may not have problems with navigation, as the larger characters.
However, making changes to the R15 avatar and scaling the whole body can make the game weird. In its current form, the R15 is slightly larger in appearance. So any additional modifications to the model can worsen the situation.
However, Roblox isn’t famous for its AAA graphics, so that shouldn’t be a problem.
The Roblox fashion community can also be a useful resource. There are various scenarios designed to increase or decrease the size of a character. Some of them even work for R6 avatars.
But how useful these scripts are is a matter of controversy. Some users swear at them and others swear. You will have to browse the Roblox library and try different scripts to see which one offers what you need.
Note that some scripts may not receive ongoing support, and some may stop working after periodic updates.
What is your favorite script?
